The Collector Series
The Collector Series are a set of contemporary circus productions focused around the character of The Collector. A recluse who has boarded himself off from the outside & has created his own world from the discarded scraps of society.
These productions look to paint a semi-fantastical portrait of social isolation & self-imposed identity and to celebrate the seemingly eccentric.

"I absolutely love your work, your ideas, your writing, and your tenacity. This character and story are so tender, gritty, charismatic, quirky and authentic. Also, addressing trauma, mental health, social anxiety, so directly is something I don’t think I’ve seen much of in other spectacle performance. It’s very moving!"

The Collector - The Presence of Absence
“This is the story of a man and his remnants.
Together they live on a short street with long shadows, in his former father’s former shop, with a makeshift imagination & a suitcase with just enough space to fit inside. To others it is a boarded-up memento of uninteresting disintegration. To him it is a glowing ember in a city of burnt-out memories. To us it is a space between the sense of things…” |
